In 2005, Bangor Savings identified attracting and retaining a young workforce as a company priority. As a result, the Bank formed a Strategic Philanthropic Partnership with the Maine Development Foundation in order to launch and support REALIZE!Maine. In addition to providing three-year catalytic start-up funding totaling $150,000, Bangor Savings contributes additional resources such as guidance from executive-level managers and marketing in order to help strengthen the REALIZE!Maine initiative.
http://realizemaine.org/upload_files/state_seal.gif State of Maine Thanks to strong legislative support, in particular from some of Maineís most prominent young state legislators, REALIZE!Maine has received a $75,000 appropriation from the State of Maine to support the initiative over the next two years (2007-2009). The funding will be applied toward continued development of REALIZE!Maineís web resources and will be used to strengthen regional partner groups.
